The CC2420RTC is a highly integrated single-chip RF transceiver component engineered specifically for low-power wireless data logging in the 2.4 GHz unlicensed ISM band. Housed in a 48-pin VQFN package with an exposed thermal pad, this digital logic device fully complies with international IEEE 802.15.4 engineering specifications. It features an integrated direct sequence spread spectrum baseband modem that delivers an effective maximum data transmission rate of 250 kbps. The hardware contains dedicated 128-byte receive and 128-byte transmit data buffering blocks alongside a standard serial SPI bus interface for external microcontroller linkups.
