MOC3041 – Zero-Crossing & High Voltage TRIAC Drive

The MOC3041 is a single-channel optocoupler with built-in zero-cross detection and a TRIAC driver output. It blocks up to 400 V peak at its output terminals. The input LED requires around 1.3 V forward voltage and triggers at 15 mA to drive downstream AC loads safely. It delivers reliable switching while minimizing noise during each AC cycle. It comes in a 6-pin DIP package, making board layout simple and predictable. Use it where AC loads need safe, low-noise control—light dimmers, motor speed control, or relay interfaces.
